Artifact 1

This is a picture of me in La Cracovienne, made by Pierre-Emile Desmaisons in 1844. I'm outside again but this time in maybe a fur coat, its kind of hard to see in this black and white. I have on black character shoes, a hat, bracelets, and a dress under the coat. The background is not as rocky as the others, it has more flowers and plants which is much more flattering. My hand is up almost looking like I'm trying to say leave me alone. Maybe I was more sassy than I can remember.

Artifact 2

        This drawing was printed and published 1840 in London, England. I'm wearing a blue dress with a thin veil like piece of clothing. Also I'm posing in a low arabesque on pointe, the background is an outside landscape with rocks and some plants. If I say so myself the shadow looks a little weird, almost like a crabs claw..or weirdly shaped tweezers. I probably didn't pose outside because it could ruin my pointe shoes, and those aren't cheap.

Artifact 3

   This picture is by an unkown artist, but it is Jules Perrot and me in the ballet Catrina. The dance took place in London England 3 March, 1846. I played the role of Cartrina the leader of the bandits, and Perrot as the role of Lieutenant Diavolino. The dance is more of a folkish dance, with the colorful clothes, hats, vest, and scarfs which is very un-classical (ballet like). In this drawing my waist is skinny and my feet tiny again, I suppose the artist thought it made me look flattering.

Artifact 4

    This picture is by A. E. Chalon of the Pas De Quatre. With Carlotta Grisi (on the left), Marie Taglinoni ( in the center), me (to the right and back), and Fanny Cerrito to the right in the front. It's to bad that I'm in the back, there should be a saying about "youngest first". Also we all look the same! Like we could be sisters which always isn't a good thing, in dance you want to be the one to stand out not blend in. Our feet look unrealistically small and thin, which is very untrue ESPECIALLY with pointe shoes on. The picture is based off the opening pose to the Pas De Quatre when the curtains come up.

Artifact 5

     When I died I donated my estate to go to the education of talented youngins and the city named a street in my honor. Not everyone has a street named after them so if I say so myself that sounds pretty awesome. All my hard work and dedication payed off with national recognition and a street is almost too much to apprehend, it fills me with shock every time. Even though I have received all these great things, I still would be happy without them. As long as I was dancing I would have been fine. So being able to receive this makes me very indebted and appreciative.

This is the first sheet of music to the music of the Pas De Quatre. It has a very lovely and soft tone a beautifully song that matches the dance wonderfully. They go together like two peas in a pod, I don't know why anyone would choreograph a dance to music that didn't match. But trust me that has been done before, that fills me with great gratitude. Cesare Pugni is such a great composer and Jules Perrot such a great choreography they deserve full credit for this production the dancers could have been anyone and it still would have been a good piece.

Sadly this is my tombstone. My death occurred April 4th, 1907 in Munich, Germany at the age of 87. Leaving my estate to the city of Munich to training the talented youth. To honor my passing and charity they named a street after me. I'll show you later don't worry. My burial is at Alter Nordfriedhof, Arcisstraße 45, 80799 München, Germany; Plot: 5. Even though you might not get to formally meet me you should come visit and maybe leave some flowers, I’d like to have the best looking tombstone.

This is the music sheet cover that went on the music packets for the orchestra. They may have passed these out also as flyers. My name is listed last with my first and last name stated, two of the dancers only have their last name presented but I can’t remember why. Maybe they ran out of room, or the dancer could have requested it. The cover page list the title of the performance, composer, dancers, location, and music composer in that order. This order could be like this because of the level of importance or each part. If so then the dancers should have been placed at the top, Bare for sjov *danish for: just kidding*.

This drawing is by J. Branard of me, Lucile Grahn as the role of Catarina in the ballet Catarina or La Fille du Bandit. The drawing was painted in London, 1846 during the performance week, me starring as the role of Catarina the leader of the bandits. Shortly after the huge Pas De Quatre I was granted this role, going to show how the Pas De Quatre made me even more popular. In 1847 Catarina was restaged with Fanny Elssler as my former role, even though she didn’t perform it as well as I did, but you didn’t hear that from me.

Here is a video of Carlotta Grisi, Fanny Cerrito, Marie Taglioni, and me dancing in the Pas De Quatre July 12, 1845. At the young age of 26 in London in front of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. This dance is popular in the dance world, and one of the most re-staged dances. Both Carlotta Grisi and Fanny Cerrito at the age of 28, and Marie Taglioni at the age of 41 making me the youngest dancer to dance in the Pas De Quatre. That was a real honor to be so young and receive such a grand offer at that age and time.
